For one, I don't think much of any teacher who said you could only use wikipedia! -- It is notoriously unreliable! If that (and thinkquest) is all you're allowed to use, my suggestion would be to turn to your library! (Yes, the actually bricks and mortar building!)
Something that may help you however, is the terminology. The term "Dark Ages" isn't used that much anymore. It is referred to as the "Early Middle Ages". That might aid in your search.
