This year we have to write the paper on a book and I think do a character analysis.
What would be a good book to write this paper on?
I don't have to start writing for a few weeks, but I want to go ahead and start reading.
I am 17, so I would like it to be interesting to me.
What book should I choose?
I don't want to write about "To Kill a mockingbird" or any other books like that. Writng a book report on a classic book just seems kind of predictable to me.
I want my paper to blow my teacher away.
I am a good writer.
I want the book to be something kind of unexpected.
I want my paper to be really creative.
Please help.
Thanks!

Okay if you want a newer book that's interesting and that has a good solid main character read:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - by Stephen Chbosky
Definitely.
It's a great book and there's plenty of focus on Charlie (the main character) so there'll be a lot of different ways you can go with your paper.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
Hiroshima Joe by Martin Booth
Good luck with whatever you choose
The Thorn birds is a good book. I did a book report on it in high school and I loved it. It's about a girl who fall in love with a priest and the taboo relationship that spans decades...There was a mini-series about it too and of course I bought the DVD when it came out last year. Here's a little bit more info on it...
The Thorn Birds is a 1977 best-selling novel by Colleen McCullough, an Australian author. In 1983 it was adapted as a television mini-series that, during its television run became the United States' second highest rating mini-series of all time behind Roots; both series were produced by television veteran David L. Wolper.
The mini-series starred Richard Chamberlain, Rachel Ward, Barbara Stanwyck, Christopher Plummer, Bryan Brown, Mare Winningham, Philip Anglim and Jean Simmons. It was directed by Daryl Duke.
Set primarily on Drogheda, a fictional sheep station in the Australian outback, the story focuses on the Cleary family and spans the years 1915 to 1969.
Two books that I really liked were "Daughter of Fortune" by Isabel Allende and "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. With either book I'm sure you could get some pretty interesting ideas for a paper. Good luck!
