What kind of jobs can I get if I major in Japanese?

Question:i just want to know because i really love japanese culture and language, so i wanted to study it . the only problem is i don't really know any jobs i could get..so can u please help me

Answers:
Language skills alone won't really get you very far. The obvious jobs for bilinguals, such as translation and interpreting, are not as high paying as you would think. And as for teaching English in Japan, you don't even need Japanese for that (and it, too, is not a high paying profession).

Major in Business or Finance with a Minor in Japanese. That combination will open many doors for you and set you on the path to a worthwhile profession. Just knowing Japanese won't get you in the door with most international businesses or financial institutions. They want people who are qualified, as well as bilingual.
Well, the obvious ones, like teacher or interpreter (different from translator: translators write, interpreters speak, and simultaneous interpreters, who are amazing people, listen in one language and speak in another at the same time.

You could be a diplomat or an intelligence official if you're otherwise qualified: Language skills alone won't get you in, but they're highly regarded.

You could work for a business (minor in commerce or some other business discipline) that has dealings in Japan or you could work for a multinational company in Japan. You could teach English there. You could work for the U.S.-Japan Society or other NGOs dealing with Japanese issues.
be a tour guide, you know their culture,so u shld know their behaviour, assisting japanese is not easy, you hv the credit to help them..most japanese didnt speak english, when they join any tour, guide specialist in japanese is really needed..here, guide with special add-up skill can earn triple or even 5x higher than the usual tour guide..but of course u need to hv the guide license.y not try it, u'll luv being in tourism industry
