I'm entering highschool any tips?

Question:im in private school and going to 9th grade! any helpful tips?

Answers:
Be yourself .. don't fall under peer presure ... be a great student ... stay away from drama friends ...

It all relys on what kinda of friends you have. If your friends are true and you keep your head on your studies then you will have an amazing high school life.

I hope that helps.
:]
Have loads of fun, yet be a good student.
its gonna suck like hell you should know that by now
dont ask upperclassmen for directions.
keep ur mind on the school.

good luck dear.
Stay focused. Work extremely hard and don't get side tracked. Be nice and be yourself. Good luck with your future because it is in your hands only!
Don't be afraid of the upperclassmen. Concentrate on your school work because high school is the beginning of your life and colleges really do look at your work over the years trust me. Think about your future and don't succumb to peer pressure and don't get in on the drama, it's annoying. Don't think about being popular and definitely don't be friends with popular people because they won't be friends for life.
get good grades...when it's time for college and your career, which will be the majority of your life, people are not gonna care whether or not you were popular. Have fun and be yourself!
A) Don't try to be "all that" ... you are a freshman. Pay your dues, and suffer through the year. Dont worry you'll survive.

B) Don't be a s/ut. Your rep WILL follow you for the next 4 years, if not longer. Just because a cute junior/senior is interested in you, don't be easy.

C) Seriously, do your homework... it will help you prepare for college!

Hope those help! Good Luck
As someone who slacked in high school, I seriously regret it. My friends that worked really hard and always went to class are now getting free rides to college which I have to pay 16k+ a year to go to. Have fun, dont get into the drama, and hopefully this is where you will find your best friends for life.
After reading some of the other advice posted here, most of which was on target, I'd like to add that joining Band, Drama classes, or volunteering for Yearbook, etc (depending on your interests) always looks good to colleges that you might apply to in the future!
Also, if you are coming from a private school to a public one, don't be dismayed if the academic standards are different. :o)
