I panic too much in exams.. what should I do?

Question:I am considerably good at maths on a regular basis
I finish my homework on time
I understand most questions in class
The thing is, I always fail my test.
I think its because I panic too much that my mind goes blank!
And failing just makes me feel like I wanna give up and move out of calculus.
Any tips? So that I can mentally prepare myself whenever an exam comes up?

Answers:
Panic is self made n self defeating.

Here are some tips... I used this quite a lot. N now I'm a super positive person. Hope this helps.

Study before your exam!!

Test anxiety isn't any fun especially if you know the material and it [TA] affects your performance.
Whatever solutions may be offered they will take some practice.

Some meditate 15 mins. prior to the test. See if in fact this can be arranged with your teacher.
Be aware of breathing deliberately and slowly if meditation isn't for you.

"Timed Testing" has been shown to have a negative effect on scores and is no benefit to anyone but the person administering the test. Do some investigation, make copies of the findings and present the information in your defense.

A doctor/psychiatrist may prescribe beta blockers to aid in the symptoms of anxiety.

Do a bit of research.
There is quite a bit of info available.

I understand - I've been there.
