Most school have someone who acts as an off campus bookstore usually cheaper than school. Barnes and noble,walden places like these can get them also. Thing is sometimes they are higher sometimes lower.
Used books on amazon usually work out pretty well. I will say that I tried half.com and the book I ordered never came! I waited and waited and then wound up having to buy it from amazon. Half.com eventually refunded my money but the process took a long time.
You could also check if anyone you know has already taken the class and still has the books- they might sell them for less or just let you borrow them.
