Constance briscoe's ugly- when should social services have intervened? what were the main areas of risk?

Question:

Answers:
I don't recall!
that is the weirdest thing - i picked that book up for the first time yesterday and got to chapter 4 and couldnt read anymore! it digusted me and i could not believe that she went to the social services and they told her to ask her mum about it!! Absolutely disgraceful! It seriously digusts me what some children have to go through!
The saddest book ive ever read.it seems that social services all too often let these poor kids down by failing to act quickly.
Hi,I had not heard of her untill reading your question.I have read 2 pages on the web & will be buying the book. How her mother got away with what she did is beyond belief.I have never had any faith in social services & this confirms my belief. The lady deserves a medal for what she endured to master it & have a great career.I for one salute her.
Could you explain what this is about, I,m interested because the Briscoe name crops up in my family tree.
