Whats required to be an ASSISTANT strength and conditioning coach?

Question:Soon I will have an associates degree in physical education. I am certified with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). What I am looking for is to be an ASSISTANT strength and conditioning coach for some college. How much further do I need to go should a job of this type become available?

Master's; Bachelor's degree with significant experience in lieu of Master's degree will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of Olympic lifts and program design for football and a variety of sports is preferred. A demonstrated ability to teach Olympic lifts is required. Experience working at the intercollegiate level, preferably Division I, is desired. Experience working with both male and female athletes preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a good work ethic, and demonstrated professionalism in dealing with coaches and student-athletes required. A working knowledge of computers and basic software programs is also required. CSCS and USAWL certifications are preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to complying with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations.
