So, my question is: Will a community college accept me with my GED and being young?
Answers:
i am in the same boat as you man. However, the way it works (in califonia) is that you can go to community college for free and you dont need a HS diploma of any sort to get in. If you currently live in the district, you can go to community college for free, do not need GED at all
Yes but there are age limitations in getting your GED. My daughter got a GED and did received a AA from LCCC and and AA from Penn State and is now pursuing Her BA
yes, but you will have to take the ACT, SAT, or the colleges own version of a college placement test so that they can gage what level of learning you are on. If you do not score well you will have to take preparatory courses before you can even take regular ed courses so it will take you a little bit longer to complete whatever you are trying to do. Most people end up staying in school a year longer, but some end up staying in school two years longer. It might be better to just finish the last two years of high school, learn more, score better on a college placement test, and then complete a course at a community college--but hey, you have to do what is best for you. Just remember, what looks quick and easy, doesn't always turn out to be the best.
Yes you can. If thats what you have to do then its a good option.its better than just dropping out a getting a job then relazing 10 years from now you shold've gotten a HS diploma or GED. Good luck
