It depends on where you live. You don't want to be travelling a long distance unless you are going on a residential course. I learn ed over two years as I could afford each lesson. I was an hours drive away and that took the edge off the fun a bit particularly when I got there and it was cancelled through bad weather. If you can afford it, go to Spain or somewhere warm and do an intensive course with an English school. There are plenty of them and you don't loose so many hours through bad weather.
