Does the BTEC Advanced Diploma attract UCAS Points?

Question:Thinking of doing a BTEC Advanced Diploma but don't know if it attracts UCAS points. Found lots of information on the "National" qualifications but not this one.

Answers:
Yes. have a look at the UCAS website under Tariff Points. BTEC is recognised.
I did the BTEC National Diploma at College and I won an unconditional offer on the basis of it! That was back in 1996 though. I doubt things have changed so much since then. It depends what you want to study at Uni. BTECs tend to be more vocational than academic, so I recommend applying to Uni to study a vocation course, rather than an academic one.

Best of luck.
why don't you do an access Course instead?

I will be doing a HNC next year, which when I complete it will be NVQ 5, and I will skip the first two years of Uni
