College GPA?

Question:I go to a county college and my GPA is a 3.64 Is this considered good? I know a 3.64 is decent, but it is at a county college, would this mean the same lets say at Rutgers, Penn State, Ohio State or any other state school? I plan to transfer out, I was just wondering if this GPA is strong enough coming from a county college? Would I be able to get into BC, NYU, Carnegie Mellon? University of Illinois-Urabana Champagne?

Answers:
That is a very good GPA and you should be able to get into a good university. Keep in mind though that when you do transfer your GPA most likely won't go with you. Most universities only count the classes taken on their campus towards your GPA. Your classes will transfer but the grades earned at the community college will not be factored into your new school's GPA. All schools are different so check this out for the school you want to go to.
