the key thing is to maintain contact via email , or phone whatever...doesn't have to be deep so long as you guys remember to how you guys are doing.

In my case, it turned out that the college friends are the ones I keep in touch with the most----probably because our interests changed. Alto I've been known to send a Christmas card to one of the home team now and then. If you go home alot, that may make a different story.
