You know, you could live four or five miles into northern Kentucky (say, Wilder, Highland Heights, Cold Spring, Ft. Mitchell) and just commute into Cincy for school. It will make life much cheaper and easier, and the crime rate in NKY is substantially lower than Cincy. Just a thought.
