unless u are taking an AP class in high school, then for that class, the A=5.0
you should know if you have a 4.0 cause that means you have all A's.
Where I went to college, they converted 100-point accumulative grade averages to the 4.0 scale by treating them like percentages. So they'd use 96% of 4.0 = 3.84. They preferred all grades be submitted on the accumulative scale, since it was more accurate.
It just depends on how it's done where it matters to you.
In colleges, one receives points for hours. 12 hours x 4 over /12 hours attempted =4.0
Add your hours, multiply x 4, then divide by hours attempted = GPA
Most highschools maintain transcripts in GPA avg. Look again.
