CV help plz?

Question:plz plz plz can anyone tell me what to put in a cv i know u put your scool grades and college ones and that and about what sort of person you are etc. what else? and in what order do you reckon??

Answers:
Have you just left school? Put your personal details - how they can contact you, name, address, tel (home and mobile) and email address (if you have one). Details of your school and exams passed then perhaps something about hobbies and interests. If you've done any voluntary work, detail that on there too. If you've done any work, add details of that - put information about your work experience. The more jobs you've had, you can then take off the hobbies information and state information about jobs/work you've done and the skills you have gained. Good luck. If you're really stuck, look at the internet for guidance or perhaps go to an employment agency and ask for their help.

You need to include work experience and referees also.
I take it you've never had a job then? ok, most recent school grades first, then your other school grades (like if you haev a degree, then your colledge grades, then your school grades) include positions of responsibility and what this involved - like if you were a prefect, that you had to monitor the corridors between lessons, were you head of any teams? any out of school activities/responsibilities?
for personal stuff mention outgoing, social hobbies you have, although this depends on the job you are after

there are loads of websites that offer help on this, look at them!
Try to google search the word cv
personal details - name, age, marital status, etc
education - most recent first...college first and then school
work experience and training... most recent first
personal - relevant hobbies and short statement on career expectations, etc
referees - 2 usually (prior employers would be best, or teachers if this is your first job)

do not go over 2 pages in length

Spell check
do a read through and check the grammar
do another spell check

don't try to be funny or witty... don't go too far off topic when talking about hobbies, etc
CV's aren't difficult to write once youv'e got your head round what is needed. One page is enough - after that the employer gets bored or thinks you are not well-organised. A CV gives an overview of you - the interview goes into detail.
Try www.direct.gov.uk/youngpeople for a good guide as to how to do it.
I suggest googling to find some example CVs. Generally, the order is set by what is most impressive. If you went to a great school and received a good GPA- put that first. If you have relevant work experience, you may wish to put that first, if you feel that it is more important for the job that you seek. You should also list things chronologically, in an order that is maintained throughout the CV.
If you do not have ANY work experience, it is time to get creative. were you involved in clubs or student government? These opportunities may have given you skills that should be on your CV.

Good luck!!
I only have a tip as there will be allot of better answers out there but i was told when an employer looks at your CV they generally take a quick 10 seconds look over and if it is straight to the point and doesn't droll on they are more likely to put you onto the short list and then take a longer look.
Remember keep it short, simple but informative and with help from others on here with the order of how to put it you should be ok. Good luck x
The format is
personal details name, address, dob, tel num, e-mail
description about you - hard working, etc
school grades - name school, the year and grades against subjects
college/ uni grades - name, dates, course
current job - company name, dates, reason for leaving
previous jobs listed - company name, dates, reason for leaving
hobbies and interests - sport, travel etc
additional info - driving lic, first aid etc

Hope this helps.
refs - references from your companies

If you want to learn about how to make a good resume check out this article, it's about a guy who wrote crap resumes at first and then decided to do some reading to get this skill nailed. He sums up some very good pointers. Here is the article I'm talking about: http://hubpages.com/hub/make-a-cv...
Writing one can be challenging, you need to pay attention to both the content and the CV layout. I have recruited many positions over the years and you may be surprised to know honestly how the selection process works. If your CV doesn't look good, and have information organized in logical sections, then it's unlikely to make it past the initial glance.

I have written a detailed blog about what to include in each section of the CV which you may find useful - I will put the link below for you rather than re-write it all here. The number one thing is make sure you spell check your CV, I instantly bin any CV with any spelling or grammatical errors... you will be surprised to know that usually reduces the pile by about half.

When you list your work experience on your CV, list the value you added or the contribution you made during that job, not just a list of duties. Eg. I was awarded "employee of the month" three times in recognition of the level of service I gave customers ... is much better than just listing you were a customer service representative.

Good luck with your job hunting!
you can check C Vs on line what the employer needs to know is how reliable you are your honestly and loyalty he can expect if you go to the interview stages speak clearly and slowly be confident and show them you want this job and are willing to learn good luck Dave
