What is the "`" symbol called (it is the one next to the "1" key)?

It's known as a grave accent. It's used often over vowels in French in Italian to indicate pronouciation. However, by itself it doesn't really have a specific use.

Things like 'o clock should use an apostrophe, not the grave accent mark
i use it for things like " Four `O Clock " as opposed to " Four 'O Clock ". But I don't know its name...
