yes your daughter will be in year 5 as like someone has already said the cut of date is 31st august.she missed out by 13 days i was the same i missed out by 25 days i hated being the oldest in the class :-).the same has happened to my daughter to shes one of the oldest in her class her birthday is november.

My sons birthday is 10th August and he was born in 1997 and he is going back into year 6 as she is younger than him and he is one of the youngest in his year i would say that she will be in year 5. Hope that helps
i think shes in year 5, as she was born after 31st august, and if her friend is younger and shes in year 5 she will be in th same year, my cousin was born the 26th june, so before august 31st and now shes going into year 6.

I think if you are 9 on September 1st you go into year 5. If you are 10 you are year 6.
