What are good additional certifications for an EMT-B to have?

Question:

Answers:
I can't think of anything you could "add" to an EMT-B as far as certifications go.

Any additional training is always a good thing...take continuing education courses when you can.

Subscribing to JEMS magazine is a great way to stay current in EMS.

You could always go for your Firefigher 1 certification, if you are interested in working as a volunteer or paid firefighter.

Learning how to handle hazardous situations might be a good thing...you could take additonal HAZMAT certification courses.

Sometimes, you can find a course in the Incident Command System. That's a handy thing to be familar with in case you wind up with a mass casualty incident.

You could further your education and take EMT-Intermediate courses or EMT-Paramedic courses :)
