Learning how to handle hazardous situations might be a good thing...you could take additonal HAZMAT certification courses.
Sometimes, you can find a course in the Incident Command System. That's a handy thing to be familar with in case you wind up with a mass casualty incident.
You could further your education and take EMT-Intermediate courses or EMT-Paramedic courses :)
