Midwifery?

Question:im currently pregnant with my 3rd baby. I love everything about pregnancy and have thought about training to become a midwife on and off since the birth of my first daughter who is now 6. I enquired about it when she was about 2 years old but was basically told that its too hard to try to train when you have young children so i thought no more about it.I now have such strong feelings that its something that i want to do. Has anyone gone through the course when they have young children? i have a 6 year old, a 2 year old and one on the way, so i wouldnt be starting anything for at least a year but i dont know whaere to find the info i need as university websites dont give that sort of info. Also how much would it cost to train? thanks in advance x

Answers:
Send a request for info directly to the uni you want to go to about the course, they will send it you gladly. Although this time of year is very very busy for them, you may want to wait a few weeks.

Studying with any committment is hard, but do it!..In the UK the fees for your course are free as the NHS pay for them. That will be a huge help.
who told you it would be too hard to train with children? plenty of women do this and/or hold down full time jobs. if you want to do it, go for it.
