well my teacher gave a lot more essays and projects than the other teachers and she was a very strict grader. on the first day my teacher just made us all know the rules in class and get to know each other. then we had to write an essay (due in one week) on what we learned about all the people in our row.but of course it varies from teacher to teacher. just try to make good impression and put in a lot of effort in anything you do.
