Help! I need to choose which class to take.?

Question:Hey. Im a sophmore in Highschool, and IM having trouble deciding on what math class to take. The choice is between Advanced algebra and Trig. or Honors pre-calculus. I do other activities, but I am a really good student. What is the difference between the two. and which one? Thanks.

Answers:
I personally took geometry in freshman year, algebra in sophomore year, trig in junior year, and calculus in senior year. That was what my counselors recommended for me. They also told me if i wanted to take physics i had to take calc so if you plan on going in that direction you will have to take it too. Can't you take the other math's in your junior and senior year? or do you only have the option of those classes right now?..

Well if that's the case i would take trig. Calculus you won't need to much in college unless you go in that direction but it is good to have as a background and you will score higher on placement testing. And algebra i know i learned algebra back in middle school...trig is something new and its good to know.
Wow! in england we only have one maths lesson were we get taught everything.

go with what your best at.
honors might look better on transcripts, but take what is the easiest for you so that you have time to have fun and do your other classes.
i think maybe you should choose advanced algebra.
hope that helped.
