1. What do you think you could bring to us (AKA, why should we want you? what can you bring to us that no one else can? what will make us want you as our leader/member, over any other person?)
2. Have you had any experience in this department? Are you the leader of and/or involved with other organizations?
3. Why do you want to be the leader? What do you propose to do as leader? (AKA what makes making you the leader appealing to the people who you would be leading)
4. Sometimes they ask for teacher recommendations. Or maybe you can ask a teacher or counselor, or even your principal if you two know each other well, to recommend you if they think you would be good for the position.
5. What are your extracurriculars right now? Are you involved in your community? They very well may ask your GPA.
6. They may ask you some 'creative' questions. It depends on what leadership position you're trying out for. For example, I was once asked in an interview what my favorite book was and why. Try coming up with a good answer that really shows who you are, and what kind of person you are.
I would say the most important thing is really being you. If you're confident enough in the first place to be trying out for this position, you needn't pretend to be someone else to impress them. YOU will impress them, just by being yourself, because that self-confidence and easiness is attractive to people.
