This is a word processing term. The four alignment buttons are usually on a toolbar at the top of your screen and have lots of straight lines on them. They are; Align Left, Center, Align Right and Justify.
When you type in a word processor it is usually set to 'Left Align' which means that the margin on the left is straight and the the right margin is not.
If you set the margin to 'Right Align' the margin on the right will be straight but the left one will not be.
If set to 'Center' both margins will not be straight.
If you want both margins straight you use the Justify button.
