NewportVintage has a good selection of original and reproductions of children's book dust jackets. You can buy the book and the dj, or just the dust jacket itself. Here's a link for more info: http://newportvintagebooks.com/store/dus...
Also, Amazon has a good book on this subject. It's called "Children's Book Covers: Great Book Jacket and Cover Design" by Alan Powers. It's selling at $22.76. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/childrens-book-cov...
If you don't want to purchase the dust jackets or the book above you could always see if your local library has the book, borrow it and make color photocopies of the dust jackets included. Or you could do that with the actual books themselves. Most photocopy places charge $1.00 or less for color photocopies, so you could get quite a few different book covers that way for little money.
Good luck with your project! :-)
Inquire at your local public library. For some reason, mine strips them off new books routinely, rather than cover them with expensive mylar, and gives them away for free.
Good luck!
