...you are bound to share a room with people you have hardly met before. You better wisely hang out with them, descreetely learn their xters and ways. That way you'll be able to know about them and whether to fully open up to them. Give this assignment atleast a week. You can learn alot about a person in one day. Good luck..
Just be social and friendly with everyone on your floor and your entire dorm. It helps your relationship with people and can allow you to be invited to parties, etc.
try to stay organized
pray you have some good roommates.

have a meeting with your roommates to set up some ground rules, you know...like, don't use my toothbrush even if you see it.etc. things that you want and don't want.
try not to bring a lot of stuff
bring a pair of sandals/flip flops to wear while showering so you won't get other people's cooties
get a drawstring gym bag to store bathroom stuff in so you can hang it on something & won't get wet on the floor
snacks - a must (get creative)
