and will it really matter if I get a new haircut ( i usually wear my hair in braids)
Answers:
If you don't act like a freshmen then no one will even know you are one unless you tell them. And no one cares if you get a haircut. Really.
high school is awsome, no more middle school restrictions, just relax, but do be mature you know there's people who are 18 there, also get your your classes as early as possible
and there's no more cliques like in middle school, no one cares if your a nerd or w/e
Your first day will simply be "different and a little scary". I mean, to be honest, it's not the easiest thing in the world, but don't worry. Just think 80% of the kids there, are also completely lost and have no idea where to go. High school is not like teenage movies, where you have a lot of time to talk to people, or people have time to criticize you. Things are moving fast, and you have to rush and focus on your classes first. The first thing you have to do is get used to your schedule, and take a look around the people you might have in classes, and if you see them often, try being friends with them :) it always helps to have someone to walk with, or say Hi or whatever.
And about your hair, no one will really care.
High school is completely different to what
middle school kids would do (laugh and point at your hair)
Everyone is so unique, and especially if you
go to a diverse high school, you'll see people
with different traits and personalities.
RELAX!
the 1st day of high school is kinda intimidating because you have to meet alot of new people, and alot of older people. I don't think a new hair cut will matter. Be who you are. High school isn't really a big deal, it just seems like it at the time. Good Luck!!
Hah. i went to my first day of highschool three days ago.
i dont know what people are scared. its not a big deal.
:D
First day of HS...getting your schedule, finding all your classes, meeting new classmates & teachers, no homework (usually). Day one: important BUT you'll have many more days to make friends, etc. (Don't forget about your friends from jr high.) If you want to be popular, shyness is bad - try to be outgoing and friendly. The hair: do you always have braids? If that's your usual style, and you WANT to keep it, fine; BUT nixing the braids for a nicer, more grown-up style will show that you're mature, and MAY even make you more charismatic - to girls & guys.
Good luck - Brad
