It would really help if you have a goal in mind to work towards. Basically, what do you want to be when you grow up? If you have something in mind, imagine yourself as a successful professional in your field of choice. Even if you don't have anything specific, just imagine yourself as someone successful in whatever way you define it(rich, a high-flyer etc), and being one of the most successful persons in a reunion ten years on.

As for tips, you could try a buddy to push you. It could be a schoolmate or even your mom, but basically they're there to help make sure spend x amount of hours(3-4 hours isn't too much) on schoolwork before you do anything else. You could even do it in a reward system. Complete those x hours of work and you can do absolutely anything you want. Let your parents know so they won't nag you to do work even after you're done, and they'll be glad to know that you have done your work.

As for notes, you should just take down short points. It would help if you had a mp3/tape recorder. You could tape lessons, and go through them again at home, pausing at your leisure to take down important points. If you don't, just take down what you can in class, and organise them later when you get home. You could do the original organising on rough paper in pencil, and copy it out nicely into a large notebook or binder when you get home, maybe even in colour. Or you could do it in your computer, and even add additional info from the internet, such as relevant pictures.

There are also loads of study guides out there, but they basically say the same thing; have a list of goals etc, but you could try them if you want. Hopefully I've been of help. :)
just rlax
mk good friends and hav fun.
'till next year when u become a scrub
hav fun
My advice, open up your mind, ask questions of what you dont get, dont memorise unless you really have to, and yeah, relax and make friends..

The main point, open up your mind, dont think of how hard or how easy or how irrelevant a subject is. Its hard, i know, but once you have reached the state of open mind, you'll never turn back.
