I don't have to, but after swimming we have to get dressed in front of everyone, but only of the same gender. I don't think many schools require you to shower after gym class. Almost all require you to change for gym class when you're in seventh grade and up, though, because that's when you start to smell!
no, no time
Thank goodness no! Let your mind be at peace!
Just do what everybody else does, and you'll be fine.
In Jr. High, showering was required, but almost everybody wore their boxers. The showers were supposed to have curtains, but most of them had been vandalized and were missing. Nobody in the lockerroom was ever seen without at least boxers - even in the shower (weird, huh?). I hated the feeling of wet underwear, so I'd always choose a stall with a curtain, and take 'em off during the shower to stay dry.
In high school everybody showered in front of everybody else, wearing nothing. Gym class and team sports were optional, so the folks who minded simply didn't take the classes. Showering was optional, but most people did. The first time was less nervous and more hilareous. Being nude in public is usually forbidden, and there we were standing completely naked with each other. After the initial goofyness, it wasn't as awkward as you'd think. Everybody was team mates, so we really didn't care.
In college, my freshman dorm had shared showers. Some guys wore shorts, buy most didn't. It was never very busy anyway.
