First of all it's never too late! People attend and graduate from school at all ages these days, it might take you a little longer if you switch tracks at this point, but that's really no big deal. Talk with a career counselor and have them help you come up with a new plan. Good luck.
Veterinary medicine courses are fiercely competitive so you will have to get the basic entry qualifications in order to be considered. Since currently you do not have the correct A Levels you have two choices: (1).Take relevant A Levels via concentrated course at a Futher Education College; then, if successful, apply for a veterinary degree course;(you'll only be one or two years older and that is nothing at 18, believe me!). (2) Apply for a veterinary nurse course with your current qualifications and eventually specialise in, for example, 'small animals' work.
What ever you decide - good luck!
