Nursing is always a good start for 2 years. If you continue or have good support from your work, they might even pay part or all of your costs to continue.
Other medical areas are areas like Phlebotomy are aslo available to new college students.

believe it or not but their is allot of money to be made by doing cosmetology , thank about it as long as you live people are always going to need hair cuts,perms,and color.and you can open up your own business.
go to cota (certified occupational therapist assistant) or pta (physical therapist assistant) school, and you can work in a variety of fields (hospital, nursing homes, home health, schools) right off. anywhere from $15-25/hr or $30-35/visit (depends on the state you live in, and the demand for the therapist).
sometimes if you start as a cna (certified nurse's assistant, some places have a week or two of training and you can start work immediately afterwards), you can find places that offer scholarships/grants for you to go to cota/pta school. you can work as a cna while going to school, and your tuition will be paid for.
