Childrens development is holistic how does this affect things in the setting?

Question:please help me i've been struggling with part of the question. many thanks

Answers:
According the type of setting; all equipment must be of the correct level for the age and stage of development of the children allowing for ethnic differences and special needs, in practise this means that all cultures must be represented in the colours of paint and crayons and equipment available for children with special needs ie pencil grips, velcro fastening on clothes. The acces to equipment must allow the children choice and they must be able to get out/clear away equipment to further their development and give them self esteem.
Chairs tables must be of correct height and all personal care areas accessible to allow self care. take into consideration ethnics needs in personal care.
Which setting, home, school, social? Holistic refers to the inter-connection of mind, body and spirit so presumably the questioner is looking for an answer that relates the effect of something on one of these to the other two.
