I am going to high school this year too! I went to a private school for half of my school life, and public schools are different. First, there is a lot more freedom. People wear tons of different clothes, shoes, etc. As for you and clothes, just wear what makes you comfortable. You wear normal clothes on weekends, so just wear those to school. If you want to know some popular stores that kids shop at they are: Hollister, American Eagle, A&F, and Aeropostale. But if you like other stores, get your clothes from there. Whatever makes you feel cofident. Oh, and in public schools, kids tend to cuss a LOT more too, so don't be surprised. But, that doesn't mean you should do that, it is not cool. Whatever makes you comfortable. If it's colder wear jeans and a shirt. But make sure that you look decent; not dress with heels and all that but decent. What do your friends who go to public school wear? Where do they shop? Find out.
Just wear regular clothes. How much your old school is like compared to public school depends entirely on exactly how Catholic it was. You'll probably meet a lot of kids who wouldn't fit in at your old school, just don't worry about it.

Well, you went to catholic school so you must be used to wear uniform but in public school you can wear pretty much anything. You can start with simple jeans and sweatshirt. Nobody would look you weird and you will feel comfortable. If you decide to be a rocker or something like that you can switch to that kind of clothes. Just have fun and don't worry about it too much.
