first sentence-something that will grab attention
fluff leading into the thesis (1-2 sentences)
thesis
one sentence that gives three reasons why the thesis is true (each reason will be a paragraph, make sure the paragraphs are in order)
reason 1
reason 2
reason 3
(use specific details for the body paragraphs)
last paragraph: restate thesis and reasons. then a bunch of fluff leading to one sentence that really leaves the reader thinking (that your opinion is right of course!)
okay so some tips: never use things like "i think" or "i believe"
state everything as if it were a fact, even if it isn't because you want to come off confident. you want essays to look professional, so don't use contractions, and try not to use the words "i" or "you" very often. read the essay to yourself a few times to make sure everything flows smoothly, try to use transitions.. make the sentences flow but don't use runons... umm yea thats all i can think of. oh and maybe use quotes from really respectable people that help you prove your point, and cite your sources.
