How do i get over my schoolhouse dulldroms??

Question:Im an excellent student, and I love to learn, but my first semester classes are very dull to me, except psychology. Im usually excited about more classes than this, but my schedule lacks my top 3 favorite classes: history, english, and choir.

How do i cope with not being interested in my classes? I know that i should just suck it up and deal with it, but i can't find a way to be excited about classes that are dull and dry to me, and im feeling sufficated. How do i get this noose of boredom to loosen up?

thx for your answers in advance!

(im a sophomore in high school)

Answers:
it happens to all of us, and honestly gets worse. You have to suck it up.
You haven't mentioned which classes you're so bored with that it causes you such distress, however, you do say you love to learn! In high school and in college there are always classes that are clunkers but you have to get through them in order to accomplish whatever goal you set out for yourself that put you into those classes to begin with!

You can always sit down with your guidance counsellor and go over your schedule to see if you can change anything at this point. If you cannot do so then you'll have to look at these classes as a learning experience and hope that next semester gives you better choices. Bear in mind though that most any subject you can think of has its ups and downs during the course of the year or semester. There may be something coming up in the curriculum that may just pique your interest and challenge you is some way. Don't give up just yet!

Another thing you can do is speak with your teachers about how you're feeling. Perhaps they can help you in some way by pointing out what made them so excited about the subject matter that they opted to teach it! Being excited about what you're learning is a wonderful thing, however, feelings of suffocation, experiencing the doldrums and sensing the imaginary noose around you neck growing ever tighter as your boredom increases is a bit dramatic and unreasonable.

You sound like a very imaginative person. I'd bet you can turn this situation around just by having that one attribute! Good luck.
