The answer is obvious, go to school. The first day nerves are a part of life. Being nervous makes you more aware of your surroundings, makes you quick and open to take in all that new information. Everyone is nervous at a new school, everyone is nervous for first day.
Just remember, Rome wasnt built overnight. Its going to take time to find your spot, to get yourself settled. Go in knowing that things arent instant. Go in remembering this is education, not popularity contest. Go in knowing, you are coming in with more experience than a lot of people there (You've been somewhere else, which is why you're there now. That will give you something to talk about.)
As for sleeping, just take a bath. Listen to some music. If it helps, write down the things you're worried about (it'll be real funny to look back at them at the end of the year and realize how different you're feeeling now as compared to then). Go to bed early, expect to do some tossing and turning. But basically, dont worry about it. You'll be fine!!
Starting at a new school is hard. I should know, I've gone to six different ones. The only thing I can really tell you is to just breath and to stay optimistic. Be yourself, don't hold back. If you have questions, ask and don't be afraid. Really, you'll be okay after the first week, maybe sooner. The more your in class and get to know your classmates, the more comfortable you'll be.
Forget about your nerves and just think how excited it'll be and think about new friends!
Well I went through the same thing a few years ago. There really is no cure but what I found most helpful is if you worry a whole lot most likely school will be fine. It's not the best advice but it always worked out for me.
