That's not unprofessional at all. College isn't like middle or high school. Professors sit with their students in the caf, meet them for coffee, and see them for advising. Just have her meet him at a coffee shop or somewhere in public and there shouldn't be any issues. The student teacher relationship in college is SO much different than other student teacher relationships.
