In UK.. they call it HND which means Higher National Diploma.?

Question:What about in America education system?? what do they call it?? n also for Canada.

OND---> HND---> Degree---->Master---->PHD

Answers:
I would say that the American equivalent of an HND is what Americans call an Associates Degree.

Here in America a regular degree takes four years. Colleges add a bunch of 'general requirements' which add an extra year to the degree program. They argue that it is to create a more well rounded student. But the real reason is to make more money out of each student. One more year is more money from the dorms, more book sales, more fees etc. etc.

But you can do two years of classes instead and graduate with an Associates Degree. That is the nearest equivalent to a British HND.
