What is the difference between verbal irony and sarcasm?

Question:I know they are are similar, yet different. please provide examples

Answers:
verbal irony is when you said something but it has a double meaning to something that you did not meant to say that is ironic, sarcasm is when you said something and meant something else with the opposite manner.

For Example: Sarcasm:
I said, "OH MY GOD you're so funny!" when you said something that is not funny or just make fun of me and I said it in a Sarcastic tone

Verbal Irony is when you said, "This water is so pured and clean." but without knowing that you're drinking from the sewer, that's ironic.
Girls have one funny and boys another.

Even Science says So.
verbal irony is a proverb and sarcasm is critisism.
