What are some GenEd classes that I could take in college?

Question:I'm going into my third year, STILL with an undecided major and I just need to take some classes to get insurance. Help me out?

Answers:
Go talk to academic advising. That is what they are there for, and they can suggest more classes.
Ask yourself what you like to do, then try to find some classes that are based on that. For instance, I'm a big fan of writting and reading, so Literature and Composition classes are perfect for me. If you don't have any passionate interests, I suggest some graphic design classes. They're fun, interesting, and you can be creative.
I was in the same boat when I needed to repeat some math before I transferred to another school. I took basic auto mechanics. I was a very bad working on cars before that, and I have benefited from what I learned in that class for the last 20 years.

Even if all it does is give you an idea what you are talking about when you take your car in, you won't be as easy to rip off as you would be otherwise, and you'll save a ton of money on really minor things that take about 5 minutes if you know what you are doing, and will never even guess at if you have no idea.

Another thought -- Math. Trig or calculus, or whatever your next step is going to be. The reason? If you are undecided, and starting your third year, you'll also need to figure it out really quick as in this semester or next.
If you don't figure it out, take something that will count towards a very large number of different majors - for example, move forward in your level of math. Yes, I know it sucks rocks, but it sounds like this might be an easy semester, and it's better to take it when you don't have other hard stuff to study at the same time.

A good writing class will also help you for the rest of your life.

Good luck
Kevin
