Most people study the stuff they know for tests, instead of the stuff they don't know or don't understand. Reverse that, and
you usually do much better.
I suggest the following for high school and college students:
-- read the appropriate textbook section before class
-- take notes
-- at the end of class, stop for a minute and write down the
2-5 most important ideas addressed in class today.
-- spend those odd couple of minutes here and there reading over your notes. Make a big question mark next to something you are hazy on. Read that section of the textbook, and if you're still unsure of the material, ask your teacher. Chances are, you're not the only person in class with questions about it.
-- get a study buddy. Explain important concepts to each other... there's nothing that points out deficiencies in understanding quite as well as having to teach it to someone else.
--if you can't find a study buddy, learn concept mapping. The more connections you can make in your concept map, the better you understand the material.
-- don't wait for the night before (or even a couple of days before) an exam to study. Keep at it persistently instead of trying to cram.
-- get a good night's sleep before the test.

Your problem is YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO STUDY... try turning off the hip hop and the TV and talking on the phone and try concentrating on what you are trying to learn... studying is not just reading... it is reading and understanding and you don't have the good habits necessary to study successfully... talk to your teacher or guidance counselor and see they can help you develop a plan to study better.
I completely understand your frustrations. I am the same way. Ask for help. If you have a friend that can help you study, then ask. Ask your teacher/instructor for help. They might be able to point out better ways to study. The school may have people to help you study.
try to find a better way to study like a peaceful place or new study habit. Or as soon as you get out of class start studying then.
Why don't you try different studying methods?
For math, don't just read the book and study from your notes. Try doing many problems. Make sure you see your math teacher for extra tutoring and ask her to point out problems that are good practice.
If you're good at History, you're probably good at memorizing things. Try writing down things you make mistakes on and memorize them. Write them down as soon as you get your test so when you check your work, you look out for those mistakes. Hope this helps! Good luck!
The thing is you worry to much, forget studying, forget about other people being smarter than you. Math is like a puzzle, just little things you have to put together to answer the problem. Thats great that you study, your learning good habits for later but, don't study to hard. If its not working obviously don't study, try some other ways of studying. A tutor might help, but get one of the same sex cause otherwise it can lead to distractions. But you need to just think of math a different way, you obviously have it in your head that your gonna fail no matter what and thats wrong. Good luck!
if you are a good and hard-working learner, then try typing up the main points and key words for tests and exams. Then, study them. If that is too challenging, try making up a song, or making a rhyming poem. it really helps. another choice you can choose is to keep repeating info to yourself. it will help you rmember. Lastly, try making up a sentence with the first letter of each word stand for something. For example, this is a great way to remember the order of the planets, starting from the sun. My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. Get it? "My" stands for mercury, "Very" stands for Venus, and so on.
d not failing maybe math is not ur thing. u could get a tutor or read material into recorder and playback that helped in hs with biology my worst subject. I avoided math sci in cleege but sice have gotten better with numbers hope this helpful don't be hard on urself
Blame it on ur teachers, no don't do that. What you need is less studying and more fun. Take a long nap and relax ur brain for a while, and wherever you do believe in yourself.
it might be becuz you study too much...just relax and maybe start studying a few days before a test or sumthing...or there's a poster at my skool that says study for 20 minutes and take a break and it says it over and over again...so maybe do that lol
