lol, there's nothing hard in middle school...you go throught piece of cake...make friends though! That'll always help you through hard times but take my advice and make friends who like you for who you are not for your money or other stuff...

no it's not hard. it's pretty easy if you've got the same group of friends.
you will have more homework, but teachers understand the transition, and try not to accumulate too much homework that will conflict with other classes- that's why they have teacher conferences and meeting within themselves to see what the other one is up to.
you will most likely have to dress out for PE now.
there are different lunch schedules, depending on how your school is set up.
but most of all, you will be fine!

It was a HUGE change for me, and VERY hard at first, because I went to a Montessori elementary school and never went to public school before 7th grade. The biggest changes for me were a curriculum for the first time, grades for the first time, and going from a 50-kid school to a 700+ kid school.
Try to make at least a few friends! It was hard for me because nobody from my elementary school went to my middle school, so I had to start over completely. See if you can find a couple friendly people in a few classes.
You change classrooms every time a class ends, and you have different teachers teaching every subject. You probably will become more independent in middle school - I know I definitely wasn't micromanaged as much.

I'm going into 8th grade. Middle School is not bad. You just need to make sure that you don't get caught messing around with the wrong crowd. That's what happened to me. Just hang out with people who like you for who you are and not people who want to change stuff about you. For homework and stuff, my school doesn't give out that much homework. But usually, when theres time left in class the teachers would let us work on our homework until the bell rings. But it might be different in your school. When you go to your different classes you have 5 min., but it might vary in the state you live in. But anyways, 5 min. is alot of time to get out of class and into your new one. Trust me. What I would usually do to make sure I'm not late is go into class and leave my backpack at my desk, tell the teacher I need to use the bathroom, or whatever and if your using the bathroom and the bell rang, it wouldn't matter because you left your backpack and your present, and the teacher saw you come into class and went to the bathroom, so your excused. It works for me...
