Colleges typically do not look at your freshman year. They only check to see if you pass. The 10-12 academic G.P.A. is what they look at the most.
So you are at 9th grade, I guess 15 years old and you give me your pity advice, the adult who is 20 years old, sophmore at undergraduate program? Geez At your age it is natural to always listen to your parents. But wait till you finish high school. How would you feel if you wanted to become doctor, but your parents want you to be bank accountant because they think medical school is too expensive for you? Imagine that at this point you finished community college near your home and you have to transfer to 4-year state college far away from your home? You really would then prefer to clean homes full-time or waitressing instead on continuing education? I know you have good intention and you wanted me give the best answer, but yours is totallly wrong and I will not consider it. I am sorry to say that but I feel pity for you for your answer!
