Question:i want to improve myself i feel like i never do anything im 17 and i do work alot this week 43 hours but usually around 34 hours a week i am leaning mandarin chinese but when im at home i have nothing to do what are some way to improve myself in any way i dont have any friends since my best friend pasted away and my other moved away im going into th 12th grade and im homeschooled id like to get muscular but dont know where to wokr out except the YMCA and dont wanna go there alone
so instead of surfing the internet i want to improve myself any way shape or form what are some ideas? Thanks

Know thyself. Then you know what you are working with. So, how to come to know yourself? A good place to start is with some self assessment, I do this with my students and mentees, that are quality and helpful. You can write a list to describe yourself, but you don't have any reference to know if you are more or less introverted than others.

This is a surprisingly good personality test, reliable and valid, based on Five Factor Models and using the IPIP items. Look those up if you want. So, find out how your brain works, then figure out what to polish that gem.
Other than that, read, read, read. Good literature, serious popular science, economics, sociology . . . . as this is the way to acquire knowledge.
