Would a person regret missing out on the social stuff? Or maybe it is better because you bypass the negative crap common to highschool. Does the parent need a certain level of skill in teaching or academics? Do any of you have a sucess or failure story?
Answers:
I went to highschool, and got horrible grades, and felt terrible about myself. This is because school is not about learning, it's about popularity, it's about social skills. I'm sure you remember. Well it's 100x worse now. I recently completed an online course in a subject of my choice, and it went EXTREMELY well. I was able to do work as fast as I wanted to get done as soon as possible, and to really focus on the actual studies and not where I'm going to sit at lunch, or who's saying what about me right now to whom. I think online classes are an amazing innovation in education. Give it a shot, let her take one class online and see how it works out. I finished a 12 month class in just under 2 months.
