They are usually quick-paced and more in depth then a general education class. Being an honor student, the teacher expects more from you, they usually expect you to already have good study habits, know how to write well, and know to participate in discussion groups without needing to be "babysat".
They're tough, but very rewarding, especially at the high-school and junior college level, it will prepare you for university classrooms.
