Answers:
Hi, Hosting a teachers day party is not very difficult cause i've hosted 2 wen i was at skool

To start with, wat u hav 2 do is, just give a brief introduction bout the cause as to why teacher's day is celebrated-Dr. Radhakrishna's wish-u can find this if you browse.

Next, welcome all the teachers to the grand celebration.

Organize sum gud programmes which aim at bringing their long hidden talents out. Mke sure its something they enjoy. Never hesitate 2 ask the teachers wat sort of programmes/competitions they wud like before deciding on the ocmpetitions

Inbetweent he programmes, just give them some encouraging quotations or some good quotations on tweachers- this can b found in net as well.

Dont be eithr too informal or formal. Just maintain a balance. This is very important. Make sure you keep encouraging the participants. And ask the fellow students to keep cheering their teachers. This is very important.
Never be partial towards any teacher while you host a program. This will spoil the entire show

Before you start a program, give a brief intro to it. And end it like " It was really exciting to see our dear teachers perform really well." or " Looks like the teachers are more enthusiastic than the students" or "That was a splendid performance by our teachers. We really enjoyed it." and so on...

While you end the function, just give a brief vote of thanks- like We thank our principal, Vice-prioncipal, chief guest, ......... the teachers who readily accepted our invitation for the day and my dear fellow students for encouraging our teachers. ........I thank everyone for making this show a grand success..... Thank you one and all.

**Even if you're in charge, put together a committee and ask for help. Give recognition to the people who help you while you are planning, and at the party, give them something special to wear, or thank them when you're being master/mistress of ceremonies.
**Start with a written invitation on which you include the beginning and ending time of the party.
**Be at the door at the beginning of the party, greeting people and making them feel comfortable. If you think it will be a big group, you might want to consider nametags, or ask the committee to be additional greeters and hosts.
**About 15-30 minutes after the stated beginning time of the party, do something "attractive" to get everyone's attention. If there's music playing, for example, stop the music. Or if you have a live band, have someone in the band do a "flourish", and then step up to the microphone. Be classy about getting people's attention, not loud. If one of the teachers had some "trick", duplicate it.
**(Some sentences - Good evening, everyone. It is wonderful to be together to celebrate the end of a great year, thanks to the teachers we are honoring this evening. Sure, they've been hard on us with all the reading, lab work, and lectures crammed with material to understand and learn, but we're the better for it, right? I'd like to recognize.
**Ask the most important person (dean?) to stand first, and then do the rest in alphabetical order or something balanced. If there's a big crowd and everyone is seated, you might just ask them to stand. If everyone is standing, then you can ask them to come to the front. Engg is engineering, right? Orderly will be understood. If you want the dean, or someone, to "say a few words", ask them ahead of time, and suggest how long if you think it best.
**Have a plan written down of what you are going to do from beginning to end. You need a macro list from now to the end of the event, and a micro list for the party time itself.
**You probably won't have time to eat or drink yourself, so be sure you've had some food before the party! If alcohol is going to be served, you'll have to forgo any. (And if alcohol is permitted and served, there are lots of responsibilities to be met. Ask a faculty member and follow the rules.)
**Finishing up can be a challenge. Stop serving food and drinks 1/2 hour before you said the party would be over. Or at least don't replenish anything. Some people will leave naturally. Stop the music at the end time, and simultaneously thank everyone for coming. Thank your committee and the servers etc. Don't start with naming names because you'll forget someone. Wish all a good future and every success. If people are dancing, announce the Last Dance.
**Wait until you think it correct, and then ask some of the people who are still hanging around to help straighten up. Some will work and that will get things done, and the rest will leave!
**Be sure to smile and have a good time yourself.
**And this should have been first. Ask one or more of your teachers who went to last year's party what it was like, what was good, and what wasn't.
