If it's already in the mail there isn't anything you can do. Chances are that if the rest of the address is right, especially if the start of the postal code is correct, it will get there eventually. It will probably take a little longer because it will have to be taken out of the normal delivery routine to be checked and fixed manually. I have received many things with wrong or missing postal codes. If it is time sensitive or the recipient is waiting for it you may want to inform them that it might be later than expected.

This page (http://educ.queensu.ca/~fmc/may2004/post... explains the postal code system. Presumably it's got both an address and a postal code. The computer sorts based on the postal code, but if it can't tell what the postal code is, it goes through a manual reading by a mail person.
Chances are the Canada Post guy (I do hope you're in Canada, since this is what my data is based on) will just base it on the address, since the postal code only allocates a region, and not an actual address.
