It really depends on your learning style. Each option has a different set of pros and cons, choose the one that fits you best.
In virtual school there is a lot of importance put on self-motivation, self-dependence, and self-discipline. Although there will be instruction and group meetings, you're basically going to be an army of one with occasional "support troops" flown in from abroad.
If you prefer to work independently (often on your own schedule) you may really enjoy virtual school.
On the other hand, public schools have an excellent social aspect that cannot be replaced. In public school, you are encouraged to band with, and learn from, other students. Having many different opinions to draw from will help you broaden your views. It also should be said that the social aspect of public schools will may help you expand your networking; this may be helpful later in life. In public school, you are no longer a single soldier, you are part of a company that looks out for each other. You have less freedom but gain the firepower of a group.
I know that most people so far have simply said, "go public". I realize that this is of little help to you. Instead of bringing my own prejudices into the mix, I have tried to outline the pros and cons of each. I still want to point out, for the sake of integrity, that I, myself, am at a public school. However, I do not believe that any option is better or worse, just different.
Whatever path you choose, be sure to research your options before jumping in.

So far its going good they let me borrow a laptop and printer.
I left public highschool because there is to much drama.
