What are the requirements for a data processor?

Question:And also are there any online schools that offer it?

Answers:
Employers generally hire high school graduates who meet their requirements for keyboarding speed. Increasingly, employers also are expecting applicants to have training or experience in word processing or data entry tasks. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills are important, as is familiarity with standard office equipment and procedures.

Students acquire skills in keyboarding and in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database management computer software packages through high schools, community colleges, business schools, temporary help agencies, or self-teaching aids such as books, tapes, and Internet tutorials.

The above information is taken from Occupational Outlook Handbook, which is published by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

This site has a Word document tutorial. Almost all offices use Word for word processing.

This site links to several sites that offer tutorials in Word as well as some other word processing types. I would strongly recommend, however, that you learn Word. I know Word Perfect and actually prefer it but am finding that almost all documents that I can access now have used Word.

I would also recommend, if at all possible, that you attend classes to learn data entry. It will be much easier than trying to follow either books or online tutorials.
